A designated adoption, also referred to as an identified adoption, is typically one in which the adoptive family is connected with a birth family prior to agency involvement. LFSRM becomes involved in order to provide the mandatory relinquishment counseling for the birth parents and the education, training, home study, and post-placement services to the adoptive family. LFSRM can work with birth parents, adoptive parents, or both.
By working with LFSRM, you will work with an adoption counselor, have access to the expertise in ICPC (if adoption is out of state), have access to pregnancy counselors that can help with legal filings and counseling, and if the adoption is progressing quickly, we can usually expedite a home study at no additional charge.
